1. The sweater has to be long. When babies sit, crawl or move their backs get exposed, so buy a longer sweater to keep them warm and comfortable.
2. High collar or a hoodie is a must! It will keep your baby's neck and head warm and you will be confident that she will not catch a cold.
3. Neutral color. It has to match all the outfits. Brown, grey, ivory is a good option.
4. Front bottoms or a zipper is a must. Your baby got a little warm, all you have to do is unzip the sweater without taking it all off. Majority of babies do not like to be dressed or undressed, so bottom are much easier to use without discomforting your baby.
5. I would suggest buying a sweater one size bigger. For instance, if you need to buy a sweater for a spring season, get one that will fit her in the fall. It might be a little large for the spring, but it will be great in the fall. I do not think it is smart to buy a sweater that will be used for only 2 months. One size + is easier on your pocket and is better for the planet!
