Find a good pediatrician

Here is my criteria how to find a good pediatrician:

1. Pediatrics office has to be near your home. I am very lucky to be living in the city, because if there are any concerns regarding baby's health doctor's office is within walking distance. I do not need to worry about getting into the care, finding parking, etc.

2. I prefer a pediatrician who has kids herself.

3. Pediatrics office must have a hot 24/7 calling line.
4. It must be a doctor that will call you back, no matter the hour you called.

5. Doctor that shares your vision regarding your baby's health.

6. Will tell you to come in even if you do not have an appointment.

7. Will suggest natural remedies before giving medicine.

8. Tells you what you must do, rather then telling "it's up to you"

9. Has many clients. If you came to check a pediatrics office and its full of kids at any time during the day, it is a very good sign.

10. Your pediatrician have to ask you questions and answer all of yours.

11. Office staff or a doctor herself must update your yellowcard and provide your with a growth chart.

12. Office has to be clean and neat.

13. You must like your doctor. Her personality, how she handles kids and what advise she gives you.

14. It is best if a hostpital that your pediatrian affiliates with is in your area.

15. And last but not least, make sure to ask your doctor if she has a back up when she is on vacation or out sick.
