I would like to help mothers in need and I need your help. My wish is to collect as much baby clothing as possible ages Birth - 24 months and send it to families that need help to get back on their feet. We all know that motherhood is the most amazing and rewarding experience, but it also can be very stressful, especially for households that struggle financially. I hope that when mothers and fathers will receive a box from Layered Cake it will put their mind at east for at least 2 years knowing that their baby has enough clothing to keep him warm and neatly dressed!
Please e-mail me: layeredcakeblog@hotmail.com if you would like to get involved!

I would like to send everyone a thank you note, so please provide me with your mailing address or if you wish to make this world a little greener an e-mail address would be greatly appreciated!
I would love to see my baby clothing drive grow and I hope I will be able to take it to the next level. I would love to be able to collect toys, gear, have companies donate diapers, laundry detergents, diaper rash creams, baby washes, shampoo and other baby necessities. I also would love to be able to cover shipping costs for you! I have so much ideas, but first I need to see if we can make this happen!
Let's make this charity grow, because every baby needs a onesie!
FYI: My inspiration was Ellen DeGeneres and her episodes about Whitney Elementary School. While watching the show I realized that kids from Whitney Elementary (or other similar schools in need) were born with nothing and their parents did not have much and having a newborn must be extremely challenging when everyday is unknown. I realized that by creating a charity that will help families in need to overcome just one issue, might give them hope and inspire them to believe in themselves, to work harder and hope for a better tomorrow. At least they know that tomorrow their baby will be dressed.
