Stomach time - every day, few times a day!

Tummy time, daily exercise

We had our daughter on her stomach already in the hospital. It was just few moments at the beginning and few days later a minute, two or even longer. Occasionally she was not in the mood for the tummy time and that is absolutely fine. Once she discovered a new position (rather than laying on the back and staring at the ceiling) she often asked us to put her on her stomach - she needed a different view :)

We also had a crawling exercise for her! Have your baby on her stomach, put a hand under her feet, and she will push off once she feels something solid under her legs. At first they might get very excited and tired at the same time, but if you decide to continue with this exercise you'll be fascinated how strong your baby will get in just few weeks! Stomach crawling exercises helped our baby learn how to roll on her stomach by herself as early as 2.5 month and at about 3/4 months she was able to roll around the bed! It takes only a couple of minutes before they get tired but those few minutes makes them stronger and healthier! Try it! Every time your baby is awake have an active tummy time. You can stimulate her by talking to her or having her favorite toy in front of her within reachable distance. Tell her how amazing she is if she pushes off and tries to reach for a toy or any object that you might have for her to grab. Few days later, she will know exactly what you want from her and will try to "crawl" and will be very happy and proud about her infant crawling adventure!
