Bubble Bath for Babies 9 Months +

Bubble Bath for Babies 9 Months +

1. We stopped using baby tub by the time our girl was 9 months old. Some parents feel comfortable giving up baby tub earlier some later, it does not matter what other parents do, you must feel comfortable and safe when your baby uses regular tub, it is up to you to decide when is the right time.
2. I use bubble bath to create playful atmosphere. My favorite bubble bath product is Soothing Vapor by Johnson's Baby, eucalyptus smells great and helps my baby to relax and get ready for bed.
3. I use baby soap to clean private areas only. I do not think she gets really dirty during the day, so I do not cover her in baby soap. Soaking in a bubble bath does the cleaning for us. Private parts, especially for a girl, need extra cleaning attention.
4. I wash her hair no more than 3 times a week.
5. I give her a bubble bath every day. It is a part of our bedtime routine.
6. We have lots of toys! Colorful toys, educational toys, toys that light up, make sounds and splashes. We play, relax and learn a little. Make sure not to overexcite your baby, she might have trouble falling asleep afterwords. Simple and quiet games are best at this time of the day.
7. We do not bath for longer than 20 minutes.
8. We never force her to bath. Sometimes she is tired and wants to get out and that is exactly what we do.
9.  We teach her to dive and swim.
10. I never try too hard to entertain her while we are bathing, majority of the time she plays by herself and I watch her. I think it is the best way to teach her to learn how to disconnect and relax by the end of the day. We all need down time, quiet time, "alone time" and I do not think babies are exception.

While your baby is in the tub do not leave her alone!

Let me rephrase it: never leave your baby unattended in the bathroom!
