Layered Cake Baby Basics Clothing Collection, a unique line of baby clothes sold online, inspired by an innovative technique called "layering." As a new mother, I came across the technique of layering and found it intriguing. The cooler the weather, the more layers of clothing a baby should have on. I decided to start a line of baby clothing suitable for each season: summer - one single layer, spring/fall - two layers, and, winter, three layers and up.
Dressing a baby can be a little overwhelming. Babies have no way to tell their parents that they're overheated or chilled, so we, as parents, have to go by our instincts. Heat rashes are very common during the summer season, due to parents overdressing their child or because the material the baby is wearing doesn't allow air to circulate. Wearing light, breathable muslin will help baby tolerate extreme summer temperatures, thus keeping baby comfortable. It has the added benefit of becoming softer after every wash!
